Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of videos, been hard at work in the studio getting these songs ready to be shown to the world. I am so excited for you all to hear them. Trev and I are stoked to bring you this weeks cover video, our take on the classic U2 song “Where the streets have no name.” Enjoy the best Bono impression I could muster up :)
As always, much love!

So, I’m sitting in the waiting room at The James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio awaiting the results of a surgery that my mother unfortunately has to undergo.
Quick recap: over the summer my mother developed severe pains in her abdomen and (due to the absolute ignorance and arrogance of an apathetic doctor) her appendix ruptured due to a growth that was later found to be cancerous. Thankfully, my mother had good insurance and, although they’ve had to fight they’re way through our broken healthcare system, she’s been doing very well on low dose chemo pills for the past 5 to 6 months. At her most recent checkup, doctors examined the area where the rupturing took place(because the cancerous growth wasn’t caught before the appendix burst there was an immediate risk to all tissue within the contaminated area to be susceptible as well) and they found some spots that could be more cancer. That is why I’m here today. The surgeons will go in and examine the area with the spots to see if it’s cancer or scar tissue. If it’s scar tissue; HOORAY! If it’s cancer, they will cut the spots out and give her a “chemo-wash”, which consists of them pumping radioactive water into her, leaving it there for around 90-120 minutes and then stitching her up again.
I’m thankful that we’re alive in a time where advances in science and medicine can help people like my mom. We’re lucky we caught it as early as we did, and I know that’s not always the case. Anyways… I’ve always loved this song, but it has definitely taken on a new meaning for me, knowing that Shane wrote it about similar situations. I’ll keep my blog updated on my mom’s recovery. I’m not a God fella, but I know my mom and my family would love and appreciate your thoughts and prayers so by all means! Shout outs to all who have been through similar circumstances. Live your lives, be happy and always make sure that you’re loved ones are aware of how special they are to you.
p.s. Yes, that’s me wearing my own bands shirt.
Sat on my back patio, played one of my favorite songs, and reminisced while watching the sun go down. Happy New Year! I hope everyones 2012 is a good one… Thanks for making my dreams come true.

I was going to get all emotional and write a really long post about tomorrow and about the last 8 years of my life, but honestly it all really comes down to me just saying thank you. Thank you to our fans, the people we care about the most, the people that kept us going strong when we didn’t know if we could do it. Thank you to the amazing people who have paid to see us play some of whom have been to 91, yes count them 91, Valencia shows. Thank you to the people who went ape shit at our shows and made the 10 hr drives worth it for me, thank you to everyone who bought a t-shirt so that the 5 of us could eat on tour, thank you to the people who put us up for days sometimes weeks at a time, thank you to the ones who consistently had our backs when the shit heads would come out swinging with criticism, thank you to our Isurrender records family and everyone involved in the production of our music, thank you to all the bands we’ve shared the road with, thank you to all the countries who have showed us love even though we are from so very far away, thank you to our families for believing in us, thank you to our girlfriends for dealing with the stress of long distance relationships, thank you to the people who bought our records, thank you to our friends who have inspired us to follow our dreams knowing you’ll be right there no matter what. Thank you to the people who have shared their life stories and how our music positively affected them. I could go on and on, but really, thank you for allowing me to live out my dream. Without you none of this would be possible. Someone once told me that success should only ever be measured on a personal level, because as long as you are happy with yourself and your efforts then you should consider yourself successful. Well, I am proud of our accomplishments and proud of our work ethic, and consider the last 8 years to be a successful run.
This is not goodbye forever, more like see you sometime soon. Never forget the memories we have all shared together… I know I won’t. As for the future, I hope you all find your reason to believe, because I am pretty certain I have. Thank you all! I love you and hope to see you tomorrow.
-Shane
P.s Also remember all of us will be doing stuff with music in the future, though it might not be titled under Valencia, each of us bring a certain aspect to Valencia and your consistent support in our future endeavors will mean the world to us! Much love.
Happy Holidays friends!! I love you all.

Hey everyone! I’m back with another cover. This one being another pretty large leap from the comforts of the genre I’m used to :). My good buddy Chin who has been helping out on a project I’ve been producing, stepped in to help not only pick the song, but lend his pipes as well! This was my first shot at a genre I’ve always been intrigued by, Country!! I hope you enjoy my version of Bill Currington’s, “Let me down easy”
Thanks for watching!
