Hey everyone, as most of you know, I am a big supporter of the American Cancer Society. When it came to my attention that my best friend Jon Lyons was raising money for the American Cancer Society by running in the New York City marathon in honor of his dad (a cancer survivor), I thought when better a time than this to put the full weight of all of my amazing friends and fans behind such an awesome cause. Jon has been training relentlessly for this and I am super proud of him. For those of you who don’t know Jon, he is the drummer of the always amazing Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer, and he is absolutely the kindest, most amazing dude you could ever know.
So to help Jon reach the quota he needs to be able to run I have decided to offer up an unreleased song from my upcoming “Before the Flowers Bloomed” B-sides LP … All you have to do to get this song is donate 5$ or more! What better way to give to a good cause?! See Jon’s message below, and in advance I’d just like to say thank you to all of you, I am one lucky dude to be surrounded by such incredible people. I hope to see you all very soon.

Hello Friends, Family, Peers, Coworkers!!
It’s that time of the year…..Marathon Training has begun. I’m sure you all know by now that running has become a huge part of my life, and one of the most positive changes I’ve ever made. Running a marathon has been a dream of mine since I first put on my running shoes a few years ago. Unfortunately life tends to throw some curveballs and surgery prevented me from running Philly in 2013 two weeks before the race (ugh!).
This only made me more ambitious, as this year I set my sights on probably the most famous marathon in the world, the New York Marathon! Originally I was going to run with Team NBC, but it just didn’t feel right getting into one of the hardest races in the country for free after a few easy phone calls. So this year I am running for the American Cancer Society in honor of the most awesome guy in my life, my Dad, who fought hard and beat cancer last year.
Dad, you’re probably gonna kill me for calling you out via email, but you’re a personal hero. For real. I want to dedicate my training and race to a cause that hits very close to home, and help fight against it.
So here’s where everyone comes into play. In order to race I need to raise $1700 by August 15, completing a goal of $3400 by October 9. Break that down and that’s just 132(ish) people donating $26.2 or $1/mi. Of course, anything helps and will bring me closer to this goal.
Please forward this to our friends, family, coworkers, everyone you know and help me reach my goal, kick cancer’s butt, and race for the most awesome dude in the world, my Pops.

Another Downwrite tune for you to enjoy!!
Getting older is a funny thing. You are able to come to grips with a lot of shit a lot easier. This DW song came to me at a perfect time, so I was able to put myself in the shoes of this persons story quite easily. Its about the friends you made growing up. When you’re in high school the friends you make are one of the most important things that helps to shape your personality and your outlook on a lot of things. They are there through the toughest growing period I think a human has to go through. On the other side they are also there through some of the most carefree fun moments as well. As time moves on you think you will be friends for the rest of your life, and while sometimes that does happen, for many people I think it can tend to be difficult when a certain amount of space and distance is put between you and them. You begin to have responsibilities you never had, like the dreaded first of the month rent check, or when the time warner cable bill comes in and you realize they sneakily raised your bill by 20 dollars a month even though their shit never works right!! Anyways, this song is about how you will always have a fond place for those very important friends you made during your younger and more vulnerable years, and even though things are a bit different now; some have moved on in life, gotten married, maybe even have had kids of their own, you will always hold a special place for them in hopes that maybe one day they will return to your life. If not, the memories you made will carry on till your 6 feet under ground. My hope is that if you hear this song and get the message, you yourself will reach out to one of those friends that you haven’t spoken to in a while. Live your life, have fun, sing along to your favorite song, find someone to love, and above all just be happy!! Enjoy your weekend, your undying support keeps me going…

Hey guys, just wanted to share another Downwrite song so ya’ll can enjoy some more new music… Hope ya dig it … if you want your own song visit www.downwrite.com
As most of you know, I have been doing Downwrite songs for people… Downwrite is a personal song writing experience where you give me your background and what you want your song to be about and I write it. I put a lot into this because I appreciate those who take the time and money to do this. I just felt like sharing one of them so you all know I am still working on music… I have over 20 songs written for a TFP album and I am really excited about it. To those of you who are still with me, I love you more than words could describe and I am putting these songs up for you because I know its been a while since the ep and though it might not be a full studio recording it’s something that hopefully you’ll dig. This one is called Worthy of Love, I had 14 days to write and record it myself. I’ll be posting more of these if you like them, and they aren’t judged harshly cause remember these are people who opened their heart to share their personal story with me.. If you want a personal song from me all you have to do is go to www.downwrite.com and click on my profile!
PS still working on the next POR b-sides and rarities ep.. keep an eye out for that
Today is a big day for me, I get to announce that I have been added to the awesome team of DownWrite writers. For those who don’t know, downwrite.com is a personalized song writing experience. You tell me your story, how you feel, or really anything that you want me to write about, and I put it in a song personalized just for you! Can’t wait to get started on some of these!
