I am really excited to announce that this friday I am teaming up with my friends over at To Write Love on Her Arms to join them on their Storytellers High School Campaign. I will be flying to Pittsburgh and driving with them to Austintown Ohio where we will be putting on an event to celebrate their Fundraising efforts for this amazing charity. I get to play for some really cool High School students who worked hard to raise money for this, and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of it all! I WANT TO GET YOU LAID (AGAIN!!!!)

Last year for Valentines day I tried doing something unique for the special Valencia / POR / Future Perfect fan in your life. You basically get to send a visual Valentines day card where I deliver a special message from you to the lucky lady or man in your life followed by their favorite song sung and played live on an acoustic guitar by yours truly! The people who did it last year loved it! It is certainly a unique way to let your valentine know how important they are to you.

So this year I am going to try this again! I will do covers as well if thats more your style, all you need to do is email PromiseofRedemption@gmail.com for more info. V-day is right around the corner though so this year there will be a very limited amount of spots. Hey friends! Release day for The Future Perfects “Control EP” is upon us! I just wanted to take a minute and let everyone know that this is a big step for Will, Trev and I. The entire EP is a DIY release, all self funded. No kick starter, or investors. That means its just you guys and us. It would mean the world to me if you could spare the 5 dollars and pick up the EP. Playing music is a dream come true, and I would not be able to be where I am in life right now if it wasn’t for your support. With that being said, tonight at 12 we will be going live on most digital music sites, one site I encourage you to check out and support is bandcamp.com our page is www.shanehendersonandthefutureperfect.bandcamp.com at midnight tonight you will be able to stream the EP in its entirety and also download it on the spot. For all of my Itunes loyalists out there, you will be able to find it there as well.

You all know that I am an advocate for supporting the fight against cancers of all kind, especially breast cancer. It is an issue that our world needs to seriously pay attention to. Now I know that there are many diseases out there that take our loved ones from us way too early. I also have pleaded with people from stage many times to take action on such diseases that affect you and your family. Cancer is no worse than other things that take lives, so don’t take what I’m saying the wrong way. Every thing out there that affects the lives of fellow humans is a serious cause. For me however, I have been extremely affected by breast cancer, so it is something that I feel is important. You know this from our song “Still need you around,” and from my work with the American Cancer Society, and Keep A Breast. I just wanted to take this opportunity to let you all know of something great going on in the fight against breast cancer. Music is therapy, it is that simple. It is a medium that has power unlike anything in this world. I know for a fact because it took me from the darkest period of my life back into the light. Music is a spiritual power that is simply inexplicable. That’s why I would love to share this with you. A member of my family is dealing with a high stage of breast cancer, yet we are not here to ask for money or for anything other than your attention, and maybe to spread this to loved ones that might be dealing with the same thing. If you are in the UK please definitely pay attention and give the link below a watch. If you are in the states I would be honored if you could at least just give this a read and pass it along to your loved ones —->

Laura Cooper was diagnosed with a high stage of breast cancer. Her and many like her have decided to take a stand to let music and singing aid in the fight for their lives. Throughout this process there is a wonderful documentary being filmed. It would mean a lot to me and to the many people involved if you could click the link above and support the cause by simply watching and or reading (especially my UK friends).

It is amazing what music can do to the soul. I love you all and will always be here for those of you dealing with heartbreaking issues like this. If you have demons in your life, and feel there is no cure, then why not give something like this a shot.
